London Mansion Known for Kids Events Sparks Controversy with Playful Parties for Adults

In South London, a Georgian mansion once known for children’s parties and family events has caused outrage after it was revealed as the venue for a secret sex party.

The event was organized by Heaven Circle, an elite swingers group, and charged guests £200 each. The party’s luxurious setup included a dress code of formalwear for men and risqué outfits for women. With its history of hosting family-friendly events, Belair House’s new double life has stunned the community.

The backlash was swift, particularly because of the mansion’s proximity to the prestigious Dulwich College and its popularity among local parents.

One shocked parent said, “I associate it as a popular place for kids' parties, not for swingers.” Videos have surfaced allegedly showing sexual activity taking place during the event, adding fuel to the controversy.

The owners of Belair House defended their decision by stating the venue is available for lawful private events and that they do not violate any legal guidelines.

However, the optics of a once-wholesome venue now linked to adult parties have ignited a broader debate about venue transparency and community standards.

Many are now questioning whether multipurpose venues should be more upfront about the range of events they host. The debate touches on issues of consent, neighborhood trust, and the normalization of adult pleasure culture in upscale settings once reserved for innocent fun.

What do you think? Should private venues be allowed to host both kids’ parties and adult-themed events? Or is the line too blurred when children and sex exist under the same roof—just at different hours?
